The Production Manager reports directly to the owner and is primarily responsible for producing various wide-format specialty printing products. This position plays a critical role in our studio’s success, ensure we deliver in high-quality products with fast turnarounds.

Primary Roles and Responsibilities:

• 65% Printing and Production (including measuring, finishing and rarely, installations)
• 15% Graphic Design
• 10% Inventory Management and Equipment Maintenance
• 10% Miscellaneous (i.e., studio upkeep and deliveries)

Core Functions:

• Lead the printing and production of client orders, which includes pre-press setup of files, executing RIP queue and operating/maintaining wide-format printers, laminators and plotters
• Inspect customer files, provide digital proofs and make the graphics print-ready
• Conduct inventory and procurement

Secondary Functions:

• Layout and Graphic design services
• Unloading/unpacking deliveries to the studio
• Vehicle inspections and measurements; performing site surveys

Other Required Skills:

• Experience working with Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop as production tools and RIP software for printers
• Customer-service oriented (this is the lifeblood of SpeedPro Imaging)
• Strong attention to detail, work ethic, and problem-solving skills
• Focus on quality assurance (ensuring the finished product is 100% correct before it leaves the studio)
• Superior time management focus in order to achieve efficiencies and meet deadlines
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs.

Ideal candidates will also possess:

• Experience working with vehicle graphics and templates
• 2+ years experience with large-format printers, laminators, plotters, and graphic and signage finishing
• Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree in print production, graphic design (or similar program)
• A desire to work in an environment where everybody supports everybody

Compensation and Benefits:

• $22 to $29 per hour, depending on experience and periodic bonuses based on company-wide performance
