A reputable architecture firm is seeking a detailed Project Accountant / Billing Specialist to join their team in downtown Chicago. The Project Accountant / Billing Specialist will oversee the billing procedure from start to finish and work with the team to ensure accuracy and timeliness. This is a great opportunity for someone with billing and administrative experience looking to jump into a new company environment. The compensation for this role is $60k-80k/yr commensurate with experience.

Responsibilities of the Project Accountant / Billing Specialist:

• Manage the billing and electronic filing process from drafting to final product
• Communicate with PMs and respond to clients regarding financial information or inquiries
• Review contract documents with the Director of Marketing and Business Development for accuracy
• Review staff timesheets and make necessary adjustments
• Prepare client requests and track them via Excel
• Prepare budget worksheets based on proposals to assist in business development
• Open and close out project accounts
• Any other administrative tasks as assigned

Requirements of the Project Accountant / Billing Specialist:

• 7+ years of applicable experience, experience in the architecture industry a plus
• Deltek Vision experience preferred
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Word and Excel
• Ability to prioritize and meet multiple deadlines without supervision
• Organized with a sharp eye for detail
• Advanced analytical and communication skills
