Geologist / Geophysicist

Geophysical exploration firm is seeking a full-time geologist/geophysicist to conduct shallow geophysical surveys in the Southeast. Projects include seismic, resistivity, and electromagnetic methods as well as vibration monitoring.

Education: B.S. or M.S. degree in geology/geophysics.

Experience: A background in geology is required with experience in fieldwork preferred. Experience with geophysical surveys is a plus but not required.

This is an entry-level position that will likely become a project management position depending on the applicant. The prospective employee would be trained and supervised in various field and office tasks; however, they must also show a strong propensity for self-motivation and have the initiative to work independently. Excellent written and verbal skills are essential. Applicant must be physically capable of performing fieldwork in sometimes adverse conditions which would likely entail hiking through dense vegetation while carrying equipment and using a sledgehammer. The applicant must be reliable, willing to learn, and accept instruction.
