VES, LLC is seeking a Project Manager to support our efforts at Picatinny, NJ. The ideal candidate will have demonstrated managing all aspects of the project, including project planning, resource allocation, risk management, budget management, and project progress planning. While this role can be performed remotely, we expect that the candidate should be relatively local to APG, MD or Picatinny Arsenal, NJ and will be required to occasionally travel to either location.

We are a small business headquartered out of Aberdeen Proving Ground, MD. We have grown up to 47 employees, many of them getting our footprints established in other areas of the United States. This particular role will support our team in APG, MD, and Picatinny Arsenal, NJ. Established in 2014, our core competencies are the development of custom government off the Shelf (GOTS) infrastructure solutions, integrating mission command systems, and prototyping emerging technologies for use in the Army tactical architecture. We are a company built entirely of engineers, focused completely on solving the DoD's hardest software systems integration challenges.

General Job Duties:

• Develop and implement project plans, including timelines, budgets, and resource allocation
• Identify and manage project risks and issues, and develop mitigation plans
• Coordinate and lead project team members, including internal and external stakeholders
• Communicate project progress to senior management and stakeholders, and provide regular project status updates
• Ensure project deliverables meet quality standards and are completed on schedule
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure project success
• Manage project budget, and ensure project is completed within budget constraints

Required Skills:

• Experience in leading complex, multi-disciplinary projects
• Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
• Experience in project management methodologies such as Agile, Scrum, or Waterfall
• Understanding of project management tools such as Microsoft Project, JIRA, or Trello
• Ability to work independently and in a team-oriented environment
• Experience in the field of Fire Support Command and Control is a plus
• Experience in Earned Value Management based projects

Required Education and Experience:

• Must be a U.S. Citizen, eligible for a security clearance
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in project management, with a focus on technology projects
• BS in Project Management, Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent experience preferred
• PMP certification is a plus but not required
• Excellent oral and written communication skills with respect to all above requirements.
