Founded in 1972, Children’s Services of Roxbury’s (CSR) mission is to provide high-quality services to economically disadvantaged children, youth, families, and individuals, thereby promoting and strengthening family life and individual growth. CSR serves approximately 6,000 families across Massachusetts, serving families through four key service areas; Early Education and Care, Behavioral Health Services, Youth and Family Services, and Housing and Stabilization. Twenty-two programs are operating under those four service areas. CSR works across four cities with a staff of approximately 400 employees.

The lack of adequate, affordable housing further destabilizes impoverished adults and families. CSR’s Housing and Stabilization Services staff is committed to addressing the needs of homeless individuals and families by providing permanent or temporary shelter and food, and clothing. SUMMARY
The Property Operations Coordinator is an essential staff role of the Housing and Stabilization Department, ensuring the property team responds effectively, efficiently, and proactively to shelter property issues and track quality assurance data related to compliance with funding contracts. The role will help to organize and manage legal documents; run data reports; update the database, and create overall efficiencies for the property team.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Property Operations Coordinator may be assigned various activities related to the routine operation of The shelter property. - Receive and track maintenance requests directly from shelter residents; document and prioritize all maintenance issues and requests
- Maintain the property database (FMX) by keeping data input up-to-date and managing all property-related documents, including leases, lead and habitability certifications, etc.)
- Track and provide oversight for recurring due dates (i.e., Leases ending; annual maintenance, reviews, and certification; etc.)
- Manage shelter portfolio utilities but ensure accuracy at lease-up and exit, as well as monthly reviews. Communicate any anomalies to program directors.
- Help develop and send monthly newsletters to landlords and other messaging as needed.
- Schedule and help arrange annual landlord meetings
- Prepare for, attend, participate, and engage in meetings and supervision.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:

- Detail-oriented and focused with an ability to respond calmly during stressful situations
- Ability to speak Haitian Creole or Spanish in addition to English fluency is highly preferred
- Cultural awareness capable of communicating with others from various cultural backgrounds and working in a facility environment.
- Strong computer skills, including but not limited to Microsoft Office and experience with different databases (e.g., ETO, Apricot, and FMX); specific experience is a plus
- Strong writing skills, that is, the ability to communicate effectively and concisely in written format.
- Effective verbal communication skills and the ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders and colleagues throughout the department
- Exceptional planning and organizational skills and the ability to manage shifting priorities, analyze situations, develop solutions promptly, and communicate changes to the appropriate team/staff member
