Title: Real EstateParalegal
Reports to: General Counsel
FLSA: Exempt
Supervises: No
Essential Functions:
- Drafts, reviews and modifies leases, lease amendments, assignments, asset purchase agreements and other documents.
- Handles closing of lease finalization and real estate purchases and sales.
- Assists General Counsel and lease administration team with respect to review and analysis of leases.
- Reviews, tracks, and monitors legislation that impacts the business.
- Assists in filing of applications, permits and other governmental requirements.
- Research of statutes, regulations and caselaw
- Assist in creation if new business within the organization.
- Serves as a liaison between legal department and various departments within the organization.
- Drafts affidavits, legal correspondence, and other documents for General Counsel.
- Organizes and maintains documents in filing systems.
- Assist in facilitating and participating in communication with landlords and vendors on behalf of General Counsel’s office.
- Works effectively with all Legal team members as well as independently with minimal supervision.
- Consistently takes initiative, sets priorities, makes thoughtful decisions, and meets deadlines.
- Finishes duties and projects as required and assigned in an efficient and timely manner.
- Completes special projects as assigned.
- Deals with interruptions and successfully manages multiple tasks.
- Continuously looks for ways to increase professional development.
- Works collaborative and as a team member.
- Works additional hours as needed.
- Regular and punctual attendance.
- Performs other related duties as required and assigned.
- In office position at: 121 Friends Lane, Suite 30, Newton, PA 18940, with some remote work permitted up to 2 days per week.

This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets, and fax machines.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:
This is a full time position, and hours of work and days are Monday through Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Flexibility permitted on start and end times.
Required Education and Experience:
- Certificate of completion from an ABA-approved paralegal certification program of education and training, or an associate degree in paralegal studies.
- 5 years of experience working with leases, title issues, asset and real estate purchase, etc.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office, specifically Outlook, Word, and Excel.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Excellent organizational skills.
Preferred Education and Experience:
- Bachelors degree.
- Corporate governance and contract review experience a plus
