We are hiring RN Emergency Room *1 Year Emergency Department experience*

Responsibilities and Duties:

Our Emergency Room RNs are responsible for the delivery of safe patient care utilizing the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation and provides direct patient care within the scope of practice. Here are some qualities we're looking for here at Saint Michael's Medical Center:

• directs and guides patient/family teaching and activities of other nursing personnel while maintaining standards of care within the ER unit
• experience monitoring patient progress and with providing updates to doctors, patients, and family members
• communicates with physician about changes in the patient’s clinical condition including results of the diagnostic studies and symptomatology
• knowledge of nursing care methods, procedures, and emergency care
• able to respond quickly and accurately to changes in condition and/or response to treatment
• excels at communicating with a team and has strong interpersonal skills
• knowledgeable about EMTALA regulations and reporting of child/adult abuse to appropriate agencies and hospital Social Worker
• responsible and compassionate with patients
• able to multitask with strong organizational skills
• calm under pressure with excellent problem-solving skills
• maintains patient privacy and confidentiality

Requirements:

• current and valid state RN License
• current BLS (AHA) certificate
• minimum of one year experience as a staff nurse RN in a hospital setting; E.R. setting, preferred

Pay: $59.00 - $70.00 an hour

Schedule: 7am-7:30pm (with possibility to extend)
