Exciting opportunity at our newly renovated Hilton Santa Monica!

We are seeking a friendly PM Room Service who can deliver excellent customer service while memorizing our menu and daily specials. You will be responsible for taking food and drink orders from customers, and then delivering those orders to the proper people in the kitchen or the bar.

Specifically, you would be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards

• Take food and drink orders over the phone from guest accurately and with a positive attitude.
• Write food orders on order slips, memorize orders, or enter orders into computers for transmittal to kitchen staff.
• Engage with guests in a friendly manner.
• Knowledge of the menu, with the ability to make suggestions.
• Set-up trays and deliver room service order and take action to correct any problems.
• Collect payments from guest.
• Set-up and deliver VIP amenities.
• Help food preparation staff when necessary.
• Retrieve room service trays

What are we looking for?

• Hold a current Food Handler Card and RBS certificate.
• Must have basic knowledge of food and beverage preparations, service standards, guest relations and etiquette.
• Knowledge of the appropriate table settings and service ware.
• Basic knowledge of the English language sufficient to understand inquiries from customers and communicate simple instructions.
• Ability to comprehend and apply written product labeling instructions to enable the safe application of products and processes within the hotel.
• Ability to remember, recite and promote the variety of menu items.
• Ability to operate beverage equipment, e.g., coffee maker Ability to transport up to 30 lbs. through a crowded room on a continuous basis throughout the shift.
• Lifting Fifty (30) pounds maximum.
• Constant standing & walking required.
