Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Provide application engineering, quote processing, troubleshooting, and other customer service activities. Identify areas to cross-sale appropriate products. Share information and work with sales, engineering, and manufacturing as necessary.
The Sales Application Specialist position will be partnered with a set of territories to respond to all customer-initiated requests. Timely response to customer needs and appropriate internal communication through CRM, email and in-person is required. The Inside Sales Engineer will work closely with Regional Sales Managers and Outside Manufacturing Reps on customer needs. All activities should be completed with a focus on customer service, advocating Vortex products, and protecting the company’s exposure to warranty claims.
1. Receive sales-related calls and recommend the proper application of SVC products (standard and special) focusing on our features/benefits and capabilities.
2. Provide timely, accurate, and complete quotations to customers.
3. Attend trade shows and travel as scheduled to call on customers. (travel will be minimal)
4. Write up orders, check confirming orders, and schedule orders into production.
5. Answer customer questions on quotes, orders, returns and troubleshoots.

Requirements*
Previous experience with Enterprise Resource Programs like CSI or Syteline a plus.

Attention to detail and data entry experience required.
Hours are M-F 8 am to 5 pm. Occasional overtime work may be required as job duties demand.

Additional Qualifications*

• Some College or Bachelor’s degree, or 2-5 years work experience in technical sales, with a mechanical aptitude preferred.
• Above-average language and reasoning abilities.
