Customer Care Representative - Part Time – 20-30 hours per week

We are seeking an optimistic, thoughtful, well-spoken individual to serve as an ecommerce salesperson and inbound customer care person. This position is for our new product offering in the world of technology and luxury fragrance.

Right Brain, Left Brain. The Company’s products are technical, and the use or application is all about art, design, and fashion. Creative and artful individuals with a basic ability to understand technical concepts and methods will love this position. Also perfect for college students studying in ecommerce or similarly related fields.

Responsibilities

• Handle inbound customer calls, emails, and live chat messages from customers who have either:

• already purchased and are now seeking rapid and courteous answers about how to set up and use the product; or
• are interested in the product and have inquiries about what it is and how it works.
• Respond to customer inquiries on company’s social media platforms and other ecommerce channels.
• Process transactions for over-the-phone sales and returns/exchanges.
• Report data on customer interactions.

We work with the following systems and experience with most or all would be ideal:

• Zendesk
• Shopify
• Salesforce
• Microsoft Excel
• Microsoft Outlook
• Microsoft OneDrive
• Mixpanel

The following skills are important for success in this role:

• Ecommerce Sales Using multiple communication mediums (email, chat, voice) to drive sales online for luxury fragrance products.
• Listening Careful and attentive listening to the details of customer concerns, demonstrating both empathy as a means of building rapport and understanding.
• Solution Finding Guiding the customer on a logical journey to find a solution to whatever problem is impeding usage of the product, and in so doing, build a strong customer base.
• Patience Customers generally are experiencing the product for the first time. While these products are used to accomplish a well understood outcome, the method is very new and for some very complicated. This requires a patient teacher and coach.

Training is provided for technical support requirements and systems mentioned above. This position is part-time, evenings and/or weekends likely. More hours may be available during peak Holiday business.

Requirements

• High school degree required; 4-year degree preferred in English, Marketing or Communications
• Proficient in writing and telephone communications
• Ability to multi-task
• Logical computer skills
• Great work ethic
• Can work independently and as part of a team
