Yogurtland Franchising Inc is seeking to fill the role of Senior Accounting Manager. This position will lead the function of Finance & Accounting for the Yogurtland Companies. The ideal candidate should have strong US GAAP knowledge, good knowledge of finance and accounting for multi unit environment, mindset of process improvement and excellent teamwork skills to work with the accounting team and other departments.

Monday - Friday, 8am - 5pm, some nights and weekends.

POSITION OVERVIEW

Senior Accounting Manager will lead the Finance & Accounting Team to coordinate

1) Annual planning/budgeting

2) Month-end closing

3) Analysis, reporting and performance management

4) In-year forecasting.

5) Accountable for ensuring internal control and GAAP compliance.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

  • Oversight of general ledger maintenance, including chart of accounts and statement preparation.
  • Coordinate and sign off on monthly close to ensure an accurate and timely close process.
  • Analyze complex transactions and provide guidance to staff regarding appropriate general ledger entries.
  • Lead monthly and annual financial close processes ensuring accurate and timely results.
  • Prepare, review and analyze financial statements, and produce standard reports for management on a monthly basis.
  • Provide the necessary analysis to explain budget and forecast variances.
  • Prepare account reconciliations and review reconciliations prepared by others on a monthly basis.
  • Assist in coordination and preparation for the interim and annual audit.
  • Prepare annual financial statements and footnotes in accordance with GAAP.
  • Lead preparation of annual plans/budgets including functional project plans, functional budgets, balance sheet, income statement and statement of cash flow.
  • Provide in-year projections and outlook, producing forecasted financial statements.
  • Lead development and documentation of accounting policies and procedures in accordance with GAAP.
  • Lead development, documentation, and tests of internal controls.

OTHER REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor's Degree in Finance or Accounting. MBA / CPA highly desirable.
  • >5 years of supervisory experience.
  • Strong financial statement knowledge, including consolidation and cash flows, as well as
  • Technical knowledge of GAAP.
  • Multi-unit retail and/or foodservice experience.
