Job Overview

PCHI’s legal department is seeking a self-starting Senior Paralegal to join its team at its headquarters located in Woodcliff Lake, New Jersey. Under the supervision of legal counsel, this individual will partner with various internal departments in reviewing, summarizing, analyzing, coordinating, and drafting documents for commercial contracts, including (without limitation) supporting the Real Estate department in lease deals, the Human Resources department in people-related matters, maintaining the Company’s franchise portfolio, and assisting with other issues of a general corporate nature.


Responsibilities and Duties

  • Reporting directly to the General Counsel and working under the supervision thereof, this individual will draft various legal documents, including, but not limited to: leases, lease amendments, temporary store leases, letters of intent, lease assignments, estoppels, default notices, renewal options, SNDAs, curbside parking agreements, storage agreements, and construction agreements.
  • Attend various weekly status calls with the Real Estate team and work directly with Real Estate team on preparing various notices, letters, and other correspondence to landlords.
  • Support the HR department in developing and processing documents of a conventional nature.
  • Coordinate signatures on, and maintain appropriate filing of, various legal documents in departments contract management system.
  • Perform various corporate paralegal functions including, but not limited to, registered agent matters (handling SOP’s, subpoena’s, ADA claims, annual reports, DBA’s), BBB complaints and assist in certain employment/HR matters
  • Maintain company’s franchise portfolio and assist with drafting renewal agreements, default notices, and UFOC
  • Management of filings, permits, and licenses on behalf of the Company, including SEC filings, operating permits and immigration visas.
  • Assist in the performance of legal due diligence.
  • Proofread and edit legal documents


Skills Required:


  • Bachelor’s Degree or Paralegal certificate with comparable experience required.
  • 10+ Years’ experience as a Real Estate Paralegal familiar with retail and office leasing and comfortable managing a substantial portfolio in excess of 700 of leased locations.
  • Strong understanding of legal terminology.
  • Extremely well-organized self-starter that has the ability to meet deadlines and adapt to constantly shifting priorities while maintaining a cordial professional demeanor.

  • Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced, growth-oriented company.
  • Strong attention to detail and discretion when managing confidential matters is a must.
  • Excellent verbal and oral communication skills.

  • Diligent, dependable, and motivated work ethic.
  • Comfortable with technologies, tools, and systems with proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and DocuSign and a desire to continue to develop.
  • Licensed Notary Public a plus

Expected Salary Range: $100,560 $125,700

The salary range offered for this position is a good faith description of the expected salary range this role will pay. PCHI reserves the right to pay more or less than the stated range based on a variety of factors such as experience, geography, etc.
