TBM Inc. is seeking a dedicated financial modeler to join our growing company. You will have an excellent understanding of Excel and Cost Perform (or other financial modeling software) and use that to perform cost modeling and cost management analyses of business operations for clients.

Responsibilities

Below are some of the responsibilities a financial analyst and modeler is expected to assume in their position:

  • Use COTS software (to include Tableau, PowerBI) to design & build activity-based cost models
  • Apply data analytical skills (e.g., ability to examine data and draw conclusions) and develop recommendations
  • Analyze financial model information, performing sensitivity and other ad hoc analyses, and create and deliver presentations for clients based on the results.
  • Experience with database skills (e.g., SQL, MS Access, Alteryx)
  • The ability to work well under pressure and to tight deadlines is a must.
  • Use Excel and Cost Perform to produce high-quality spreadsheets and reports for clients
  • Use financial analysis tools to evaluate costs and advise clients
  • Provide predictive forecasts for costs and budget
  • Create and present easy-to-understand models for clients
  • Work with a team of financial analysts or other financial modeling analysts for decision-making and forecasting

Job Qualifications and Skill Sets

Below are the qualifications and skills expected of a financial modeling analyst:

  • A bachelor’s degree in mathematics, accounting, or finance; master's degree, or diploma in financial planning a plus
  • Cost modeling experience required.
  • Federal Gov't consulting experience a plus.
  • Excellent Excel, Cost Perform, or financial modeling software skills
  • Knowledge of basic accounting concepts and a solid understanding of cost and financial analysis terminology and best practices
  • A keen eye for detail and an ability to sift through large data sets to extract meaningful information
  • Excellent time management skills, including the ability to work under pressure to meet tight deadlines

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $90,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
