JOB SUMMARY
The Strategic Planning Analyst works closely with Strategy leadership to support the business development and strategic planning functions within the System Office of Strategy. The analyst has strong critical thinking skills, is well versed in analytical tools, and is familiar with healthcare data sets. They can craft a “story” by synthesizing insights from large and diverse data sets and identify opportunities for growth. The analyst serves as a subject matter expert on various data assets and technology and maintains positive working relationships across the system as they scope requests and develop responses.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE ROLE
Supports the annual growth planning cycle by extracting and analyzing data and developing presentations that evaluate new and/or existing markets, programs, projects, and/or services of broad strategic significance to BSWH
Develops integrated reports, and/or presentations supporting ad hoc requests from regional leaders
Analyzes and prepares forecasts for demographic, service line and payer mix by market
Creates and presents comprehensive market assessments for assigned service areas or service lines.
Conducts detailed competitor, service portfolio, and market opportunity analyses.
Conducts provider alignment and provider demand analyses
Remains up to date on healthcare industry trends, strategic planning best practices, and developments in the local market(s)
KEY SUCCESS FACTORS
Experience in healthcare administration or related field preferred
Experience using data visualization tools, Power BI preferred
High proficiency in Microsoft Suite – Excel and PowerPoint Super user
Demonstrated strengths working in a dynamic, ambiguous, and ever-changing work environment
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
QUALIFICATIONS- EDUCATION - Bachelor's
