La Grange Country Club is Hiring Motivated and Outgoing Individuals!

We need Grille Severs. An a la carte setting within a private club that was established in 1899. We are looking to get our team ready for the busy summer season. We will not start work until mid-May and work through the end of August into Labor Day.

Schedule would be Wednesday through Sunday, 4pm-11pm, daily.

SOME Mondays for golf outings.

Server Job Description

We are looking for a Server who will be responsible for taking orders from and serving food to members and their guests. Successful Servers are team players with a ‘Just Do It’ attitude, willing to do whatever it takes to contribute to our success. You should have a caring and friendly demeanor and be willing to exceed member expectations in service and commitment. You will have proven interpersonal skills and, most importantly, will be self-motivated and highly personable, willing to do what it takes to make members and guests happy.

Server Responsibilities:

· Serves members with food and beverages in a responsible and friendly manner.

· Has knowledge of food and beverage selections.

· Presents ordered choices in a prompt and efficient manner.

· Maintains dining ambiance with an enthusiastic attitude.

· Prepares room for dining by clothing tables and setting decorations, condiments, candles, napkins, service plates, and utensils.

· Protects establishment and members by adhering to sanitation, safety, and alcohol beverage control policies.

· Helps members select food and beverages by suggesting courses, explaining the chef’s specialties, identifying appropriate beverage pairings, and answering food preparation questions.

· Transmits orders to bar and kitchen by recording members’ choices and identifying special dietary needs and special requests.

· Serves orders by proper coursing.

· Maintains table setting by removing courses as completed, replenishing utensils, refilling water glasses, and being alert to patron spills or other special needs.

· Take food and drink orders from members accurately and with a positive attitude.

· Engage with members in a friendly manner.

· Knowledge of the menu, with the ability to make suggestions.

· Take action to correct any problems.

Server Requirements:

· Experience providing excellent customer service in a fast-paced environment.

· A positive attitude and ability work well under pressure with server assistants, bartenders, cooks and other staff.

· Able to perform high-quality work while unsupervised.

· Able to operate or learn to operate a point-of-sale system.

· Ability to work in a fast-paced work environment and deliver orders in a timely manner.

· Must be a team player, flexible, able to work under pressure

· Great communication skills

· Friendly and outgoing personality

· Must be able to work a flexible shift, including weekends & holidays

· Able to carry trays and balance food/beverages up to 35lbs

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $15.00 - $18.00 per hour
