An experienced Transportation CAD Designer is needed to team up with our engineers to prepare routine layouts, detail drawings, assembly drawings, sketches, and diagrams for a variety of bridge and transportation improvement projects. Candidates must have solid understanding of drafting techniques and good familiarity with engineering terminology.

Responsibilities include:

• Design of state and municipal transportation projects
• Draft and assemble construction drawings with a focus on roadways, hydrology, and grading
• Prepare documents using MicroStation/OpenRoads
• Conform to appropriate Client CAD standards
• Familiar with Oregon and/or Idaho Transportation department standards
• Perform other duties as assigned

Minimum Requirements:

• Associates degree in computer aided drafting field with 2+ years in civil engineering field or, 5+ years experience in transportation engineering design
• Proficient in Microstation/Openroads required
• Experience with other software is a plus (Civil 3D, GIS, Excel, Word etc.)
• Outstanding organizational skills
• Simple decision-making skills and the ability to collaborate with engineers to solve complex problems
