Job Definition:
As a member of the Urbana team you will responsible to achieve optimum productivity while maintaining high standards of quality, safety and efficiency.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Adhere to company’s safety policies and regulations
• Comprehensive understanding of personal and machine specific safety
• Maintain safe, clean work environment
• Physically inspect, communicate and troubleshoot quality of product and customer/order specifications
• Retrieve order specs, documentation and order data to/from SAP
• Operate/maintain to assigned productivity standards
• Control and operate QCS/DCS system
• Handle and assist with machine broke
• Follow job specific procedures during paper machine shut down; ability to assist in orderly start up and/or shut down paper machine
• Cut and/or set cores
• Assist with paper machine operations and stock prep area
• Assist Flex, Stock Prep and Winder operator when required
• Process rolls to customer specifications
• Assist in machine maintenance and perform periodic maintenance to machine
• Move material to and around paper mill and stock prep area
• Ability to qualify and fill-in for Paper Machine and/or Stock Prep Flex Operator

Note: Other duties may be required as directed.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

• High School Diploma or GED
• Two years manufacturing experience (paper mill experience preferred)
• Comprehend and apply basic reading arithmetic and geometry
• Possess WEIDMANN Forklift Permit and Crane Operating Permit
• Ability to use precision measuring equipment such as a ruler, tape measure, caliper and micrometer
• Ability to read work instructions and apply them to the job
• Must be able to multi-task and work with little supervision in a team environment
• Willingness to take on responsibilities and challenges
• Physical requirements – lift and manipulate unwieldy parts weighing approximately 75 lbs up to 100 lbs with help. Ability to push and pull 60 lbs on own
• Physical requirement to work in an unclimate-controlled environment
• Basic keyboarding skills and basic knowledge of computer operations
• Ability to work up to a maximum of 16 hours in a day
• Required to train on multiple jobs
