Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Oxnard and Port Hueneme is looking for After School Program Aides for the 2022-2023 School Year to provide support with literacy and enrichment education programs which are implemented throughout the school calendar year at specific after school sites. The educational and literacy programs may include, but is not limited to: tutoring, and/or homework assistance, physical activity, health and nutrition promotion, and general recreation for our youth.

We have a number of open positions for the upcoming school year!

PART-TIME- Afternoon Program Staff

*Please indicate what position you are interested in.

SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED:

*Background clearance and TB Test will be required for employment

*Ability to take and pass paraprofessional test

*Available Monday - Friday 2:00pm-6:00pm and early out school days 12:00pm-6pm

-Training days 12:00pm-6:00pm (dates will be provided)

*Experience working w/ children ages 6-12 (very important)

*Knowledge of Youth Development

*Ability to manage behavior problems - have classroom management skills

*Ability to deal with the general public

*Ability to plan and implement quality lesson plans for youth

*Ability to supervise a large group of children and coordination of their activities in a safe environment

*Ability to work in a team environment and have a positive, energetic attitude

*Mandatory CPR and First Aide Certification (Can obtain through Club)

*Bilingual is a plus!

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $15.00 - $18.00 per hour

Schedule:

• Day shift
• Monday to Friday
