Job description

We are looking for an energetic and dedicated Banquet Server to join our growing staff and very busy wedding venue here at the Red Barn at Outlook Farm for 2023. On any given day, the banquet server is responsible for setting up for an event, arranging tables, providing food service and attending to the special needs of guests. The ideal person for this position will have past experience as a server or in the food service industry, and enjoy working in large groups of people. Candidates must have a friendly and professional demeanor, work well on a team, and be comfortable on their feet for several hours at a time. This job will start in March with training!

Banquet Server Duties and Responsibilities:

· Assisting with event preparation, set up, and break down

· Serve appetizers and plated dinners to guests, as well as bussing

· Deliver food from the kitchen to the ballroom in a timely manner

· Communicate with the banquet captain to keep the event running on time

· Assist with post-event clean up and tear down

· Stock tablecloths, glassware, dishes, silverware and other items to prepare for the next event

· Adhering to safety regulations that are set in place; COVID policies and procedures

· Supporting other staff to ensure guest satisfaction

Banquet Server Requirements and Qualifications:

· High School diploma or equivalent preferred

· At least 18 years old

· Previous banquet server/catering waiter experience a plus

· Ability to work as part of a team and follow instructions

· Excellent customer service skills & organizational skills

· Must be able to stand and walk for several hours at a time and lift heavy objects

· Reliable transportation

· Dress code not provided: all black non-slip shoes, black pants (no jeans or leggings), black long sleeve button up shirt with a black tie
