Job description

Certified Medical Assistant provides direct care to patients in a clinical setting supporting the efforts of physicians, practitioners and licensed nurses.

Education and Experience:

• Minimum High school diploma and must have an active certification from a nationally recognized Medical Assistant/Technician Certifying Board/ Registry.
• Minimum one year of previous experience in an ambulatory care setting or completion of an externship at NCHC.
• Bilingual capability in any language predominantly spoken by NCHC patients preferred.
• Ability to communicate and interact with others in a professional and courteous manner.
• Ability to input data on a computer terminal in an accurate and efficient manner.
• Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $15.00 per hour

• EMR systems: 1 year (Preferred)
• Vital signs: 1 year (Preferred)
• ambulatory care setting: 1 year (Preferred)

License/Certification:

• BLS Certification (Required)
• Certified Medical Assistant (Required)
