Eastern Nephrology is the area’s largest, private medical practice specializing in diseases and disorders of the kidney. Our continued growth and need are a direct result of providing excellent service and care to our patients.

We are currently seeking a Certified Medical Assistant or Registered Medical Assistant (floating) position to service the Greenville, Kinston, and New Bern area. Reliable transportation is required since travel to the previously mentioned sites will be required. Primary responsibilities will include but are not limited to; checking patients in and out of the clinical area, obtaining vital signs, verifying patient medications, giving injections, scheduling referral appointments, assisting with answering the phone, providing direct patient care under the direction and supervision of a registered nurse (RN), implement care plans developed by the RN and/or by any person authorized by law in NC to prescribe a plan of care and assisting the providers and nursing staff as needed. We are looking for a highly motivated, flexible, easily-adaptable individual who can multi-task and be a team player in a fast-paced environment.

This individual should have excellent communication skills, strong people skills, be familiar with medical terminology, be detail oriented, have strong critical thinking skills and have excellent computer skills. Individuals who have worked with Allscripts, Acumen 2.0, or similar EHR is preferred. Certification is required for this Medical Assistant position.
