The Corporate Counsel works in the Legal and HR Department with a focus on intellectual property enforcement and contract drafting and review. This role reports directly to the Chief Operating Officer and supervises the HR Specialist and Office Coordinator.

What you will do – Responsibilities:

  • Draft various contracts with vendors, partners, contractors, and others
  • Review and approve ART form contracts for compliance and accuracy
  • Closely monitor and update the status of all IP enforcement matters
  • Draft cease and desist (demand) letters to unauthorized users of ART intellectual property (IP)
  • Work with outside counsel when escalation of enforcement matters is required
  • Manage ART’s intellectual property portfolio, including U.S. and international registrations
  • Stay up to date with HR and health care laws and regulations and provide apt advice to the organization on the same
  • Ensure compliance with ART’s licensing and royalty agreements
  • Work with the HR Specialist and Office Coordinator to negotiate and arrange ART’s corporate and employee benefits insurance coverage
  • Other duties as assigned

What you will bring – Qualifications:

  • Juris Doctor degree from an ABA-accredited law school
  • Colorado Bar Licensure (or eligible for provisional licensure)
  • Business transactional and/or intellectual property enforcement experience preferred
  • Enthusiasm for learning on a high growth curve
