Growing IQ is looking to hire teachers who have education and experience in teaching math to preschool to elementary students for Frisco, TX location.

About Growing IQ:

We are a math-centric enrichment program that focuses on developing students' mathematical mindsets through the use of hands-on materials and activities. Growing IQ works to develop critical thinking and problem-solving skills through the extensive use of experiential learning. Growing IQ's approach is centered on student engagement in mathematical inquiry, extending beyond procedural understanding. Our teachers encourage their students to collaborate, create, and come to their own conclusions by providing stimulating, sensory-rich hands-on activities/projects. ​We are looking for like-minded educators to join our team at Frisco, TX location.

Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with the center program director and assistant to meet class students’ math goals.
  • Attend onboarding training and additional ongoing training.
  • Understand the curriculum for 2-14 years old and develop sensory-rich lesson activities to allow students to explore, examine and discover math concepts.
  • Design creative, engaging, discovery-based lessons to meet class students' needs in a maximum of 5:1 student, teacher ratio.
  • Keep detailed records of class sessions and students' progress using trackers.
  • Periodically assess and analyze student progress to prepare for parent conferences.
  • Performs administrative and team-based activities as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Highly skilled, motivated, versatile, creative, dependable, and dynamic individual with strong communication skills.
  • Candidate must have a passion for education and love to work with young children.
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher.
  • Teacher certification preferred.
  • Gifted & Talented and/or Dyscalculia certification - nice to have.

Pay: $15.00 - $25.00 per hour
