Position Description


This position will be responsible for identifying process improvement opportunities, developing technical solutions, coordinating remediations, accessing customer impact of service changes, handling user escalations and general
customer satisfaction with IT Operations services. Provide and oversees technical support and advice involving the development, testing, implementation, and maintenance of projects/programs and/or systems. Works under
minimal supervision, with extensive latitude for the use of initiative and independent judgment.

Essential Duties:

  • Ascertains business area readiness for change to new business processes and identifies appropriate implementation measures.
  • Consults and advises staff on management issues and practices.
  • Builds and maintains strong relationships and works collaboratively with IT teams.
  • Analyzes data trends and creates reports or correspondence to explain operational issues, inefficiencies, and customer impacting issues.
  • Assesses issues and develops resolutions to meet productivity, quality, and operational satisfaction goals and objectives.
  • Communicates accurate and timely status and documentation with oversight authorities and project stakeholders; prepares status reports.
  • Partner with cross function teams and service component providers to validate, assess trends and manage performance metrics according to operational objectives
  • Oversees highly complex outputs involving major enterprise business processes, new technologies or working with multiple organizations and requiring extensive coordinating, planning and scheduling during all phases.
  • Develops business cases to design and implement new systems with knowledge provided on how to choose and configure hardware and software.
  • Prepares analysis of costs and benefits so that management can decide if technology systems and computing infrastructure upgrades are financially worthwhile
  • Performs other job responsibilities as assigned

Minimum Requirements

Education - Bachelor's Degree in Computer/Management Information Systems, Computer Science, or related discipline

Work Experience - *5 YEARS systems analysis, application systems support, or related work experience

(Experience can be satisfied by fulltime or prorated part time equivalent)

  • Related experience and/or relevant technical training may be substituted for education on a year per year basis.
  • Related graduate level education may be substituted for experience on a year per year basis.

Physical Requirements

  • Sedentary work: Lift up to 10 lbs at a time and occasionally carry files/small tools
  • Sitting - prolonged periods of time
  • Fingering-picking, pinching, typing; working primarily with fingers rather than whole hand
  • Repetitive Motion-substantial movements of the wrists, hands, and/or fingers
  • Close Visual Acuity-work includes data/figures; view a computer screen; extensive reading
