Title: Director, Finance Automation & Intelligence Division
This important role will be based in our Norcross, GA office.
The Director leads the evaluation, financial alignment and formal financial protocols to build a scalable Automation & Intelligence (“A&I”) business unit that exceeds the 3 year value creation expectations. This position will be establishing foundational methods for assessing profitability, growth and system based reporting while organizing and managing a diverse team of finance and accounting functions. And, this role will lead the analysis of our forecasting to help drive preventative measures that helps mitigate risk while acting as the primary finance executive representing the A&I business for future acquisitions. This role is a remote position and will report to the company’s CFO with a strong dotted line to the leader of the A&I division.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Partner with PMO, transformation teams, integration teams and other corporate departments to transition all A&I business units to a unified financial reporting structure to include migration to Netsuite
- Measure and evaluate manufacturing and project completion accounting to ensure timely revenue recognition and expense recognition with analysis to drive improvement and/or corrective actions as needed
- Partner with senior leaders to evaluate manufacturing and supply chain strategies to improving timing and costs of project completion
- Build out standardized monthly financial reporting, forecasting, and other ad hoc analysis as required in order to highlight business performance drivers, capture potential corrective actions and measure performance against KPIs
- Partner with A&I leadership team to identify, standup and operationalize KPI’s that ensure proper execution against productivity and efficiency expectations
- Partner with operations leadership to create methodology and routine for updates to forward looking financial forecasts and annual budgeting process in order to support proactive actions. Forecasts include both financial and operational data including operating metrics and key financial ratios.
- Partner with business unit finance, accounting and corporate related functional areas to evaluate potential changes to financial reporting, accounting processes and/or integration of new acquisitions to ensure that all changes are properly recorded and implemented within the business unit financial reporting
- Participates in the development of the A&I strategy including preparation of the 5-year business plan and development of projections associated with new or proposed strategies. Analyzes financial performance of specific projects/regions and identifies strategies to improve results. Works with corporate finance functions on matters impacting the business unit.
- Partner with the company technology team to implement and operationalize automated data capture, data warehousing and data presentation leveraging tools such as Power BI (or other similar) to improve accuracy and timeliness of data presentation. This role will be responsible for executing reporting out of Power BI (or other similar)
- Manages his/her team related to hiring, on-boarding, performance management, utilization, training, development, salary, promotions, transfers and terminations. Coaches individual and team performance and improvement
- Reviews accounting transactions for data accuracy
- Other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS
Education/Experience: MBA preferred and/or BS Degree in Accounting or Finance and 8+ years of experience.
Technical: Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (more importantly MS Excel). Experience with ERP systems, preferably NetSuite, Microsoft Suite, Hyperion, Power BI in a manufacturing and/or project engineering environment
