We are seeking a Document Automation Manager to be based in one of our U.S. offices, with flexibility for the role to have a hybrid or remote work schedule.
The successful candidate will work closely with the firm’s KM, Research & Information Services team, Principal Corporate Legal Advisor, Innovation team, IT team, Practice Group Leaders, document automation professionals and various attorneys and departments across the firm to (1) manage, implement and coordinate document automation projects; (2) create, update and maintain document automation templates; and (3) implement processes and structures to organize and support the firm’s document automation offerings.
Job Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain systems for storing, managing and organizing document automation templates and records
- Manage intake and evaluation of proposed document automation projects and updates
- Assess suitability, value and priority of proposed document automation projects and updates; communicate assessment and recommendation to relevant practice group leader or Chief Practice Officer for project approval or denial
- Coordinate internal staffing for document automation projects and updates
- Identify, evaluate, recommend, hire and manage document automation consultants, as necessary to supplement internal document automation personnel
- Coordinate and facilitate meetings and other communications between stakeholders to develop underlying substantive forms that will form the basis of automation templates, to the extent necessary
- Execute fundamental project management tasks including scope and issue identification, risk management, building structured cross-group schedules, organizing and facilitating meetings, tracking dependencies and milestones, and communicating overall project status
- Manage quality assurance and testing processes for document automation projects and updates
- Coordinate integration of document automation tools with Neuron (the firm’s client service platform) and other software systems, as applicable
- Manage version updates of the document automation development software used by the firm (ContractExpress) and the associated quality assurance and testing processes
- Assist in marketing activities to promote document automation offerings
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree required
- At least [one] year of document automation experience with ContractExpress
- At least [two] years of relevant project management experience, preferably in a law firm or other professional services firm, an in-house legal department or a legal technology company
- JD or MBA is preferred, although candidates with an equivalent combination of education, training and relevant experience will be considered

The compensation for this position may include a discretionary year-end merit bonus based on performance. We offer a highly competitive salary and benefits package.
