Connect Plus Therapy is seeking a Program Assistant for a part-time position in a therapeutic Early Childhood program (ECP) for children with Autism Spectrum Disorder and related behavioral concerns. Candidates must enjoy working with children, be compassionate, patient, and dedicated to supporting children in their environment. This position will work in a center in either the morning shift or the evening shift. This position will report directly to the ECP Case Manager.

Major Duties:

• Assist the ECP Case Manager in planning and maintaining a safe and clean environment, as well as assuring the well-being and safety of the students in their care.
• Provides child care supervision and support for children with autism in a group setting within an early childhood center.
• Responds to student requests for assistance, and avoids being intrusive.
• Assures cleanliness of the treatment area
• Informs administration of any client concerns
• Maintains confidentiality about students in accordance with company guidelines.
• Maintains a positive, professional demeanor at all times including, but not limited to, use of appropriate language.
• Maintains an appropriate record of punctuality and attendance.
• Demonstrates initiative, independence and decision-making appropriate to the

performance tasks of this position.

• Exhibit a genuine nurturing and caring attitude toward all clients.
• Report directly to the Early Childhood Program Assistant..

Skills and Competencies:

• Proficient in the use of various computer programs including Microsoft Office, Google Suite, and other data collection programs specific to our company.
• Confident communication skills for interactions with fellow staff members and caregivers of the clients.
• The ability to remain calm, as high stress situations may arise.
• Professional written communication skills.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to block, move or lift a child up to 60lbs of weight and keep them safe in the process.
• Ability to climb stairs while supporting/shadowing an individual.
• Assisting clients in the bathroom/diapering.
• Ability to respond swiftly and safely in an emergency situation.

Required:

• High School Diploma
• Experience in working in a school or childcare center
• Letter of recommendation based on early childhood experience

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour
