Electrical Assembler (3 to 5 years of experience required)

Vapor Power International is a market leader in steam generation, hot water boilers, thermal fluid heaters, and electric boilers and has been in the heat transfer industry since 1903.

Precision Boilers is a market leader in electric steam and hot water boilers, high efficiency fired boilers and ancillary boiler room equipment. Precision Boilers is seeking twp Electrical Assemblers located in our Morristown, TN location. This position will report to the Supervisor.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES: (other duties may be assigned)

• Wiring Boxes
• Pulling Wires
• Layout Boxes
• Wiring Panels
• Color Coding
• Reading blueprints and schematics
• Operating of any basic hand tools such as: Tape measure (1/16"), hole punch, basic wiring tools, drill, jig saw, grinder
• General Cleanliness of work area
• Must be willing to work overtime and adjusted schedules.

QUALIFICATIONS:

An individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily in a timely manner with quality results.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Ability to read and comprehend schematics and blueprints
• Utilize calculators and basic math skills in all units of measure.
• Ability to interpret a variety of instructions provided in written, oral and schematic diagram, drawing or schedule form.
• Identify electrical wiring symbols
• Ability to transfer information from drawings/ wiring schematics to the project.
• Incorporate any design changes into the project.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

• Employee is regularly required to stand, walk, sit, reach, lift, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, talk or hear, and be able to tolerate repetitive motion during the full course of a scheduled shift.
• Employee must be able to lift and/or move more than fifty (50) pounds.
• Able to physically multitask.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

• Employee regularly works in a typical warehouse environment, including near moving mechanical parts and is regularly exposed to fumes and/or airborne particles.
• The noise level in the work environment is usually < 75 Db.
• When in the fabrication areas, employee must be able to utilize the personal protective equipment (PPE), (i.e. Steel-toed shoes, safety glasses, ear plugs, protective gloves, respirator, (as needed).
• Heat and cold environment with some outdoor work.
