What the position is:
The Employee Relations Generalist will administer various Employee Relations (ER) and Human Resources(HR) related functions. This position will be a direct point of contact for ER and HR matters (i.e. policy and procedure questions, investigations, etc.).
This position will have varying levels of involvement in the following functional areas: employee relations, training, performance management, policy and procedure development, records management, employment law compliance, and employee engagement

Essential Functions:
  • Acts as first point of contact for the assigned Departments on ER issues and investigations.
  • Provide ER and HR services; employment processing, assists with training and development, new hire orientation, records management, succession planning, employee relations, employee retention measures, AA/EEO compliance, and completing personnel transactions. Delivering these services in a professional and efficient manner, providing prompt assistance while managing expectations.
  • Responsible for administering employment policies and practices, researching and/or investigating employee concerns and making recommendations that effectively promote positive employee relations.
  • Conduct administrative investigations and recommends effective solutions for addressing workplace issues and/or corrective action in accordance with personnel policy and applicable laws.
  • Develop solutions to issues by collecting and analyzing information, recommending courses of action.
  • Improves manager and employee performance by identifying and clarifying problems, evaluating and implementing coaching and counseling measures for managers and their direct reports.
  • Manages projects including setting timetables and schedules, conducting research, developing and organizing information, delivering a completed product.
  • Prepares employment related reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing data and trends.
  • Protects organization's value by keeping information confidential.
  • Administer the Company E-Verify and I-9 processes.
  • Ability to deliver information and presentations effectively.
  • Other duties as assigned.
General requirements & qualifications:
  • Completion of a two (2) year associate degree in Business Administration, Organizational Behavior, Human Resources or a related field and 36 months of relevant work experience
  • Or-
  • Completion of a four (4) year undergraduate program in Business Administration, Organizational Behavior, Human Resources or a related field and 24 months of relevant work experience
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
  • Ability to work effectively with others
  • Organizational skills with ability to manage multiple projects under tight timelines
  • Detail oriented
  • Maintain a high level of confidentiality regarding sensitive issues and materials
  • Critical thinking and problem solving
  • Self-motivated and capable of working independently and in a team setting
  • A valid state issued driver’s license
