JOB DESCRIPTION

Position: Facility Manager Exempt position
Department: Growing Department Weekends: For emergency calls
Reports to: Plant - Grower Manager or special projects/ President

Position Summary:

This position is responsible for maintaining our mushroom farm facility and its general systems, fixtures, and equipment. Troubleshoot technical issues to prevent equipment and facilities downtime; proactively pursue building equipment and maintenance related issues. Must also be able to use basic hand tools, power tools, forklift and farm equipment and have a thorough knowledge of farm maintenance.

Job Requirements:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty in a satisfactory manner. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and ability required for this position.

1. Minimum of an Associate Degree, preferred in Technical Field, but preferably a Bachelor’s Degree.

2. In lieu of the preferred degree, 8-10 years of management and technical experience may be considered.

3. Eight to ten years minimum experience required in a maintenance/supervisory position, managing 10+ employees including budgetary responsibility.

4. Experience with conducting maintenance work and coordinate work with outside

Vendors.

5. Experience with utilities and equipment (Process line, Generators, PLC, and PC).

6. Experience with safety programs and food safety programs.

7. Experience in writing S.O. P’s -standard operating procedures.

9. Experience in training new staff on equipment and safety program.

10. Experience in repairing fork trucks and long jacks.

11. Experience with the maintenance of commercial and residential broiler units.

12. Experience working on electrical high and low voltage, 12v to 480v. on small spaces on ladder or sky jack.

13. Experience with HVAC works.

a. Ability to work with Duct work, heat packs, installing coils, work on AC units, install fans unit, compressors on roof and on ground level that are 5 lb. to 150 lb.

14. Experience with the repairing and installation of new plumbing in ground and above ground.

15. In charge of all building maintenance general work.

16. Experience with farms and large central plants.

17. Must have good computer skills including word processing and spreadsheets.

18. Certifications or sub-specialties are a big plus.

19. Bilingual is a plus (Spanish and English).

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $70,000.00 per year
