JOB DESCRIPTION:

File Clerk contributes to the success of the Service Department by providing and maintaining an organized system of filing service records for efficient retrieval.

REQUIRMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS:

• Desired Minimum of 1 year in position of file clerk or similar positions in the automobile industry
• Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills; at least one retail related experience.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• High School Diploma/GED
• Valid CA Driver License

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Effectively and efficiently organize and file dealership records
• File within appropriate file system all dealership forms, records, reports, correspondence, or other important material
• Reads/examines incoming material for accuracy and legibility, gets clarification if necessary, classifies properly, and files within appropriate file system
• Searches for and retrieves information contained in files as requested
• Keeps files current
• Keeps records of material removed from files
• Scanning forms and saving to computer file
• Scanning and emailing forms as needed by corporate counsel and management team
• Disposes of obsolete files in accordance with established retirement schedule or legal requirement
• Copy records as needed
• Maintains professional appearance and neat work area
• Other duties may be assigned

COMPENSATION: $20-22/hr. depending on experience
