Outokumpu Stainless Steel is looking for a "Finance Analyst" to join our Finance team in Calvert, Alabama. This position works hybrid.
This role is responsible for supporting SCM Leadership and sourcing in reviews and assessment of efficiencies within business, identifying opportunities and providing recommendations for cost and inventory reductions. Partner with process owners to develop/track financial metrics, ensure that the information (Billing / Cost / Business Indicators) is reliable and validate assumptions for productivity to ensure tangible savings are delivered to the P&L. Partner with and proactively support the Supply Chain team to provide insights and advice in order to improve performance by bringing six-sigma approach to the team.

With a growing portfolio of both austenitic and ferritic grades from our fully-integrated mill in Calvert, Alabama, and our stainless steel finishing mill in San Luis Potosí, Mexico, and service center in Buenos Aires, Argentina, Outokumpu Americas is well-positioned to serve the expanding needs of the Americas’ market.
Your role:
This role reports to the Finance Manager Supply Chain and has no direct reports.
· Lead and manage all the Supply Chain Controlling task activities to Month-end close (Accruals, reporting etc), Budget, Forecast and Actual reporting by collaborating with other areas to ensure that the appropriate data is available
· Interpreting and analysing actual and planned financial results of Supply Chain costs, in order to assist management in making informed business decisions.
· Prepare Ad hoc requests from Finance Manager and Supply Chain team.
· Prepare monthly management reviews (MMR) on Supply Chain’s performance and attend reviews with Market Clusters.
· Reconciling results with Finance and report across the regional units and systems. Ensure quality of reporting in terms of data accuracy and timing via BPC, SAP and Excel.
· Prepare monthly Provisions for Obsolete stocks in the Principal books as well as manage approval process for Inventory requests such as write-off, stock differences by local MSU
· Track and clearly communicate actionable findings with Americas business area leaders
· Be the linking pin between different departments, primarily Supply Chain, Finance Operations and Corporate,
· Extract data from ERP systems to manage and monitor all transactional SCM (Logistics, Planning & Inventory Mgt. etc) processes and document results. Ensure that all analysis inquiries related to the SCM areas are responded timely and accurately
· Identification, analysis, develop and manage of improvements of SCM processes. Actively promote improvements on reporting in coordination with Supply Chain, Corporate Finance and Working Capital team.
· Participates in supply chain projects on costs and working capital and process improvement projects.
· Coordinate and analyze all International financial plans including Annual Operating Plan (Budget), Forecasting and ad-hoc O&R.
Requirements:
· Bachelor’s in Finance, Accounting or similar
· Master’s degree preferred
· Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, SAP and Power Point skills; Power BI reporting skills a plus
· Minimum 5 years of experience in a financial analytic environment; stainless steel experience a plus
· Minimum 5 years of experience in finance, preferably in an FMCG, Trading and/or supply chain/operations environment
· Vast experience in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint, preferable experience in SAP (including BW) and other reporting tools such as Power BI
