We’re looking for a detail-oriented and collaborative Financial Controller to join our Finance department to take on the responsibilities of financial reporting and management of the business. The Finance department is responsible for ensuring that employees and vendors get paid accurately and on time, and that our leadership team has the appropriate financial reporting to inform good decision-making.

A taste of the Financial Controller role:

• Prepare monthly financial forecasts for P&L and cash flow on a 12-month forward-looking basis.
• Supervise the on-time completion of the month-end close process.
• Prepare and report monthly financial statements to the company’s leadership.
• Supervise accounts payable, including review and approval of high-value invoices.
• Supervise the execution of the Company’s bi-weekly payroll.
• Collaborate with a supporting firm to manage the Company’s compliance with income, sales, and payroll taxes.

What you’ll bring to the table:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or STEM required
• CPA required
• 5+ years of experience in an accounting management role required
• Experience with a cloud-based accounting software such as QBO, Xero, or an ERP required
• Experience with CPG and eCommerce businesses preferred
• Proficient in applying U.S. Generally Accepted Accounting Principles
• Ability to communicate effectively with other functions outside of accounting to collect information and communicate information about finance and accounting.
• Proficient in Excel / Google Sheets
• Proficient in creating effective process documentation

This role will be 100% remote with travel to HQ in New Jersey 1-2 times a year for onboarding and team building activities.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $150,000.00 - $170,000.00 per year
