This newly opened and busy mental health clinic is looking for a Front Desk Receptionist. Strong organizational skills required. A positive attitude and a team outlook is critical. Experience working with electronic medical records (EMR) required. Proficient computer skills. Excellent communication skills. Excellent customer service and interpersonal skill. Ability to tackle busy multi-line phones. This Front Desk candidate must be reliable, punctual, proactive, detail oriented and fluent in Spanish (speak, read and write). This candidate should be able to problem solve and take initiative as necessary.

Schedule:
9am-5pm Monday - Friday

Responsibilities:

  • Greet patients with a smile
  • Register new patients with in EHR, ensuring all demographic, insurance, and billing information are correct
  • Upload forms, scan insurance cards, fax documents, make copies
  • Assist patients to complete all necessary forms and documentation
  • Verify and update patient information/demographics
  • Inform patients of office procedures and policy
  • Maintain and manage patient records in compliance with privacy and security regulations and HIPPA
  • Answer and manage incoming calls, take voicemails daily
  • Schedule new patient appointments and follow ups and perform reminder calls for appointments
  • Confirm upcoming appointments, book appointments, cancel appointments, reschedule appointments
  • Checking patients in and out
  • Asking for and collecting patient's payments, checking patient's insurance eligibility, and processing referrals to specialists
  • Follow up and fill in cancellations and no-shows
  • Maintain a professional reception area, replenish supplies

Requirements:

  • High school diploma required
  • Fluent in Spanish and English
  • Front Desk: 5 years + (Preferred)
  • Customer service: 3 year + (Preferred)
  • Flexibility to work different hours
  • Comfortable on the phone and excellent communication skills
  • Detail oriented
  • Experience working in a clinic/hospital/doctors office
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Powerpoint)
  • Authorized to work in the US

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: Up to $19.00 per hour
