About Via Elegante & The Role

Via Elegante Assisted Living and Memory Care is the premiere provider of Assisted Living and Memory Care services in Southern Arizona. Family owned and operated since 2003, we are a growing company comprised of professionals who enjoy working in a supportive challenging environment. We are looking to hire a full-time Prep Cook/Dishwasher with at least 1-2 years of dining service or hospitality experience.

This position will be an excellent fit for someone who has worked in a kitchen before but is looking for a long-term position with a company that cares about their employees. In this role, you will have regular opportunities to assist in menu creation with guidance form Kitchen management, lead meal preparation, and hone-in on your kitchen skills.

We are looking for someone who is excited about new challenges and is ready to put in the time and hard work to grow both personally and professionally while enjoying what they do. In this role you will be working closely with our Culinary Director, Executive Chef, and Sous Chef in a collaborative environment.

A Day in the Life

This is a role where you will be stationed in the kitchen at our Tucson Mountains community. Your responsibilities will include preparing meals for our residents (including ones with special diets), transporting meals, taking inventory, and washing dishes.

As you become more familiar with our process, demonstrate your ability to solve problems, gain experience working in Assisted Living and show your technical abilities, you will be given more responsibilities and this role can provide growth opportunities and upward mobility into Sous and Head Chef roles.

Required Qualifications

• Be 18 years of age or older and high school graduate or have a GED;
• Experience in dining services or hospitality preferred;
• Have access to dependable transportation;
• Clean driving record
• Level 1 Fingerprint Clearance Card (Via Elegante can assist with this process)

Job Location:

• Via Elegante has four communities located in Southern Arizona. Your primary work location would be at our Tucson Mountains community in Tucson AZ

• 3-5 years of relevant experience.
