Title:GAM: Project Manager

This role is with KBR’s GAM, Global Asset Management group. At GAM, we provide our customers with a range of services including Regulatory and Customer Compliance of Property Systems, Import/Export Trade Compliance, Material Management, Stockrooms/Tool Cribs/Receiving, Engineering Tool Design and Rework/Repairs, Records Management, Distribution Services, Capital Asset Management, Development & Production-Equipment Maintenance, and Facilities Project Management.
The Project Manager will:
Analyze program activities such as acquisition program planning, proposal pricing, financial management, cost analysis, management techniques, documentation requirements, and network analysis.
Develop production planning documents, prepare and utilizing databases for cost analysis and financial management and maintenance of program security requirements in cognizance with ongoing program changes.
Compile and review budgets against actual performance, previous budget figures, estimated revenue, and other data sources to control budgets and provide for proper financial decisions.
Aid in developing and implementing strategies to achieve program objectives safely and within agreed time, cost, technical, quality and other performance criteria.
Produce acquisition strategies/plans and other statutory/regulatory documentation (writing, editing, cross-walking, and compliance checking), briefings and white papers supporting acquisition decisions at each milestone.
Participate in the control of costs and schedules on contracts requiring validated cost schedule control system.
Perform analyses and prepare reports to ensure that contracts are within negotiated and agreed-upon parameters and government cost control guidelines.
Participate in the preparation of budgets and schedules for all contract work and perform and/or assist in financial analyses such as funding profiles, sales outlook, and variance analysis.
Ensure adequate funding availability by maintaining accurate records of expenditures, directing preparation of expenditure projections, and submitting timely requests for additional funding to the government.
Incorporate contractual changes into control systems by staying aware of outstanding work against each contract in order to maintain realistic contract cost and schedule baselines.
Develop plans including budgets and schedules to meet contractual/project requirements for several major portions of a program.
Support the customer program manager in executing their mission as a single point of integrative responsibility needed to ensure that everything in the program is managed effectively to ensure a successful project outcome.
Provide support in progress reviews and other performance reviews.
Assist in the creation of and briefing on higher level executive agency system acquisition or program summary reports.
Analyze business or operating procedures to devise the most efficient methods of accomplishing work.
Plan studies of work problems and procedures, such as organizational change, communications, information flow, integrated production methods, inventory control, or cost analysis.
Gather and organize information on problems or procedures including present operating procedures.
Analyze data gathered, develop information and consider all available solutions or alternate methods of proceeding.
Organize and document findings of studies and prepare recommendations for implementation of new systems, procedures, or organizational changes.
Confer with personnel to assure smooth functioning of newly implemented systems or procedures.
Install new systems and train personnel in applications.
Conduct operational effectiveness reviews to ensure systems are applied as designed, and functioning satisfactorily.
Develop or update manuals outlining established methods of performing work in accordance with organizational policy.
Act as a thought leader within a strategic family or discipline.
Influence strategies to address internal or external business and regulatory/compliance issues.
Proactively identify and solve the most complex problems that impact the management and direction of the group’s business.
Have formal, but limited, supervision of team members at a Department level to include verification of time cards, oversight of daily tasks/schedules and input into performance appraisals.
Guide multidisciplinary projects or initiatives.
Perform other duties as assigned.
REQUIREMENTS
Must be a U.S. Citizen.
Requires broad and comprehensive expertise in leading-edge theories, techniques and/or technologies within own job family and/or its related disciplines.
Must have a Master’s Degree and 12 years of related experience.
An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered in lieu of a Master’s Degree.
Must have expertise in DOD, Agency, and/or industry standards and engineering requirements.
Preferred Qualifications:
Current PMP Certification.
