Job description

Ensures Collections are managed timely for each patient by their particular payer source

Works with Social Services on all admissions to secure insurance information

Communicates with resident and responsible party about financial responsibility

Collects reimbursements from resident/family timely

Works with Medicaid office to assit with all Medicaid applications

Works with family and Medicaid office to verify all Medicaid pending admissions get approved for Medicaid timely

Completes all authorizations and ensures admissions process admission timely

Review Verification of Benefits and communicate with resident/responsible party related to co-insurance timely

Work with SS to ensure DA-124 gets submitted within 30 days of admission

Work on collections process

Issue demand letters as needed

Work with SS and Administrator if Involuntary Discharge is necessary for failure to pay

Facilitate AR meetings and ensure follow up

Completes all AP functions

Meets with families to resolve financial issues

Work with Medicaid to switch community to vendor coverage timely

Establishes written payment plans with accounts in need of payment

Participate in skilled monitoring committee

Other duties as assigned

Pay: From $21.00 per hour

Experience:

• Medical collection: 1 year (Required)
• Medical Billing: 1 year (Required)
• Accounts payable/Accounts Receivable: 1 year (Required)
• Medicaid/Medicare billing: 1 year (Required)
