Horizon Health is a Critical Access, Rural Health Facility comprised of 25-inpatient beds located in Paris, IL & a multitude of outpatient clinic settings including Family Practice and Specialty Clinics in Paris and surrounding cities. Position Summary:

Under Direct Supervision of the Outpatient Services Manager, the nurse lead will work directly with patients, clinical staff, physicians, and supporting departments to ensure excellent patient care demonstrating the organizations mission, vision, and values.

Essential Functions:

• Assists with the flow of clinic patients.
• Receives patients and visitors in a friendly, timely manner working closely with other departments and colleagues.
• Facilitates communication with staff and manager, performs daily huddles, and
• participates in staff meetings.
• Ensures that all annual Education/Competencies are completed. (Including
• HealthStream)
• Demonstrates ability to analyze situations and arrive at sound, practical decisions using good clinical judgement.
• Assists with special projects as assigned, including new employee orientation and
• implementation of new service lines.
• Verifies all departmental daily/monthly logs are completed.
• Address patient and staff concerns notifying manager when needed.
• Assists with monitoring of Jump stock and ordering of supplies for the department.
• Assists with reviewing /revising patient care policies and protocols.
• Assists with staff monthly scheduling.
• Provides direct patient care throughout the department at high demand times.
• Verifies and assists as needed to ensure that all staff are up to date with certifications and licensing.
• Provides insight into staff performance for all evaluations.
• Shows excellence and leads by example.
• Works closely with the department coordinator and will assume her duties in her
• absence.

Position Requirements:

• Graduate of accredited school of nursing.
• Current RN Illinois License
• Current BLS/ ACLS required, must obtain within 6 months or hire.
• Excellent Communication skills.
• Previous leadership training and experience is preferred.
