Inventory Analyst
Hi-Line is actively seeking an Inventory Analyst to join our growing organization!
This position will accurately and efficiently manage all inventory for Hi-Line. You will be responsible for accurately reporting and optimizing inventory at both the store and Distribution Center levels. The position is full-time on-site in Farmers Branch, Texas.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities (Other duties may be assigned)
- Devise ways to optimize inventory control procedures.
- Monitor the levels of product and sales to identify overages and shortages.
- Ensure stock is adequate for distribution and all sales channels to match current and projected demand.
- Regularly reconcile inventories to discover discrepancies and opportunities.
- Evaluate and improve Min/Max strategies at the store and company levels.
- Develop supplier performance reporting.
- Manage reporting for backorders and stockouts. Develop tools and initiatives to improve performance in these areas.
- Analyze data to anticipate future needs.
- Work effectively and cooperatively with other team members and other departments.
- Suggest ideas for constant improvement and implement approved solutions.
- Participate in ongoing professional development activities to continually improve job-related skills.
Qualifications
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements below represent the required knowledge, skill, and/or ability.
Education and Experience
- High School diploma or GED is required, and a four-year degree is preferred.
- A minimum of 5 years of Inventory Management experience.
- Experience managing inventory at a distribution company is preferred.
- Competent and experienced with Excel, i.e., formulas, pivot tables, V/X lookup, macros, etc.
- Experience working in ERP software.
- Working knowledge of inventory concepts: Min/Max, lead times, safety stock, dead stock, ABC classification, backorders
- Ability to accurately track inventory and create reports.
- An analytical mind with strong math skills.
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills

Pay: $45,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
