Position Summary:

The Facilities Division of OVG360 has an exciting opening for a part time janitorial supervisor on the campus of Arizona State University for the new 5,000 seat multi-purpose arena and community ice rink. The new arena is scheduled to open in fall 2022 and will be home to ASU Sun Devil Men’s Ice Hockey, ASU Wrestling and Women’s Gymnastics programs, an NHL franchise, as well as a variety of events, including concerts, family shows, comedy and other live events. The new community ice rink will serve as a public venue to the community and will host hockey and skating programming, youth competitions, educational opportunities and more.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Oak View Group Facilities is looking to hire an efficient part-time night shift Janitorial Supervisor to oversee the work performed by our nightly post-event cleaning staff. The lead responsibilities include but are not limited to:
• Assignment of duties to cleaning staff.
• Responsible for issuing cleaning supplies to staff.
• Regular inspection of work areas to ensure fulfillment of nightly cleaning goals
• Assist with inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment.
• Assist with the training and guidance of staff.
• To act as a liaison between janitorial staff and OVG management.
• Participation in meetings with managers.
• Performing the necessary janitorial duties when there are staff shortages.
• Project assistance when required.
• Ultimately, the ideal candidate will display practical and effective leadership skills to ensure the timely completion of staff cleaning duties
• Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Work extended and/or irregular hours including nights, weekends and holidays as needed.

• Written/Oral communications - ability to speak and write clearly and concisely, get messages across that have the desired effect
• Working Conditions:
• Must be able to work a flexible schedule inclusive of weekends, nights and holidays required.
• Frequent bending, lifting 30 pounds, sitting, standing, exposure to multiple external elements, extensive walking through the building including inclines and stairs.
