Job description
This skilled multitasker will manage all receiving, handling, storing, picking, and packing activities of the warehouse, ensuring that quality standards are met or exceeded. The warehouse manager must achieve inventory accuracy and coordinate order fulfillment for all product orders. Most of the time Chamberlin's branch in The Dalles is a one-man operation, so the Warehouse Manager must be able to manage multiple facets of warehouse operations simultaneously, be dependable, detail oriented, enjoy working independently, and possess excellent time management skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Work with Chamberlin’s Regional Warehouse Manager, the Hood River Warehouse Manager, and other staff to coordinate business operations and manage the warehouse in line with company’s standards
- Oversee daily operations including receiving, warehousing, quality assurance, inventory control, logistics and distribution
- Fulfill customer orders and arrange for pick-up or delivery, with customer satisfaction the primary goal
- Assist with deliveries as required
- Utilize electronic warehouse management system and inventory software to keep accurate records of sales and warehouse activities
- Organize, stock and use the warehouse, lot and retail space to achieve maximum efficiency
- Interface with and provide service to walk-in customers
- Liaise with Chamberlin staff, suppliers, and other visitors
- Comply with extensive health and safety, security, safety, shipping and regulatory procedures and protocols
- Ensure safe and effective use of warehouse equipment
- Inspect equipment, tools and machinery regularly, and oversee general maintenance when necessary
- Maintain awareness and knowledge of the condition and location of fleet vehicles
- Create and affix warehouse and product labels as needed
Qualifications and Skills:
- Valid CDL license
- Experience in a warehouse role
- Ability to operate a forklift effectively
- Proficient computer skills
- Outstanding organizational, multitasking and problem solving skills
- Strong people skills
- Available to work extended hours, or weekends as needed (seasonal)
Education:
- High school diploma or equivalent
Salary and Benefits:
$38k - $50k annual - Actual salary and benefits may differ based upon location skills and experience. The position is eligible for vacation, holidays, health, dental, vision and mental health insurance, 401k, profit-sharing, bonuses and other benefits.
