We anticipate the need for one Journeyman Electric Meter Specialist(s) (Field) to be located at the Chestnut Service Center in Minneapolis, MN. The current rate of pay for this position is $49.02 Hourly plus $.08 per hour premium pay. This position will be posted for 10 Working Days from December 6, 2022 to December 19, 2022.

Job Responsibilities (May include, but not limited to the following) Perform all job duties of lower meter section classifications. Provide technical direction, assistance, and training to other meter section personnel and internal/external customers. Test, troubleshoot, program, and calibrate self-contained single phase and three phase meters as required. Install, change, and verify substation, generation, commercial, industrial, residential revenue metering equipment as required. Interpret, update, and develop drawings and documentation for meter equipment and installations of all types. Work with other shop and field personnel in prioritization and completion of work and maintenance of appropriate records and paperwork.

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED.
Basic AC/DC knowledge.
Additional training in electricity or electronics preferred.
Valid Drivers License.
The ability to lift 50 pounds.
Must currently be an Electric Meter Journeyman or with similar job responsibilities.
Special Requirements

1. Accept additional training required by the company to keep abreast of metering technology and automation techniques.
2. Must have excellent verbal and written communications skills.
3. Must have excellent problem solving and decision-making skills.
4. Requires participation in after-hour emergency callouts and overtime.
