Job description

We are seeking professional, innovative, and experienced Lead Pre-K Prep Teacher for our Three Year Old class who would like to be part of our teaching team in a state-of-the-art preschool.

Qualifications

• Two or Four-year degree in Early Childhood Education or related field or CDA
• At least one-year teaching experience in a school or related experience with three year old's
• Knowledge of developmentally appropriate practices for three year old's
• Ability to effectively talk to parents about their child’s day and answer questions about developmental goals
• Ability to communicate effectively in writing and speech
• Ability to work as team with Lead Teacher in classroom
• Must have strong classroom management skills
• Must demonstrate qualities of self-motivation, patience, creativity, dependability, and ability to make good judgment calls
• Must meet all state training requirements and pass criminal background check
• Comfortable using electronic communication
• Have a loving and nurturing attitude towards three year old's

Duties and Responsibilities

• Create exciting educational environment in your classroom that addresses all developmental domains by learning through play
• Implementing of daily curriculum activities
• Writing weekly lesson plans and weekly newsletter
• Attend to daily needs of children – including potty training and the documentation of this and academic activities
• Document weekly developmental progress of children and communicate this with parents as needed
• Maintain clean and safe learning environment so that classroom meets all state licensing and Kids ‘R’ Kids Hamilton Mill policies and procedures

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $11.88 - $12.97 per hour

COVID-19 considerations:
All employees are required to wear a mask upon entering the school, daily temperature checks, and help the team sanitize classrooms daily.

• High school or equivalent (Preferred)

Experience:

• Teaching: 1 year (Preferred)
• Childcare: 1 year (Preferred)

License/Certification:

• CPR Certification (Preferred)
