The Vault Nantucket is the premier couture jewelry boutique on the island of Nantucket. We’re looking for a motivated, results-driven sales representative with experience in the luxury retail space to join our team! This is a fast-paced season in one of the most exciting retail markets in the country. The role entails having knowledge of gemstones and jewelry; some training will be provided but strong prior knowledge is preferred. The candidate must be comfortable working in a small business environment with entrepreneurial roots. We are an energetic, fun-loving and passionate team lead by a fearless female creator/entrepreneur. This is a seasonal position with potential for further career opportunities, our season will start late May and run through mid-September. Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Present, promote and sell products with enthusiasm, passion and knowledge
- Build relationships by providing exceptional customer service and educating the customer on the value and quality of our products.
- Achieve agreed upon sales targets and outcomes within schedule.
- Perform store set up and closing operations, including moving the jewelry to and from the safe and display areas.
- Coordinate sales effort with CEO and Operations
- Supply management with reports on customer needs, problems, interests, competitive activities, and potential for new products and services.
- Perform store maintenance, merchandising, and other required activities to keep store clean, safe, and inviting.
- Keep abreast of best practices regarding luxury and jewelry trends.
- Continuously improve through feedback.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Experience in a jewelry retail environment with a focus on luxury client service required.
- Jewelry passion is a must.
- Positive, customer-focused approach in delivering an exceptional customer experience that builds brand loyalty.
- Ability to learn quickly in a fast-paced environment.
- Highly motivated and target driven with a proven track record in sales.
- Excellent selling, communication (both written and verbal), and negotiation skills.
- Prioritizing, time management and organizational skills.
- Relationship management skills and openness to feedback.
- Flexibility in schedule and hours
- Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues is a must
- Responsible, trustworthy, and careful while handling merchandise
Education and Experience
- BS/BA degree or equivalent required.
- Graduate Degree from GIA preferred.
- Minimum 1-3 years of luxury jewelry sales experience.
