Hiring for 2nd and 3rd shifts! Shift Differential is $0.50 per hour for 2nd shift and $1.00 per hour for 3rd shift!

Job Title: Case Maker Operator

The Case Maker performs necessary tasks to successfully run the Case Maker machine. This position is responsible for leading the crew and ensuring they are trained to perform their duties properly and safely.

Essential Functions of the Job:

• Sets up and operates machine which glues cover material to boards to make book covers.
• Makes mechanical adjustments to machine to accommodate varying case sizes.
• Ensures quality by continuously monitoring: Squareness of case, size of turn-ins, show on case (three pieces), and backspace.
• Continuously controls product waste by monitoring: Downtime, glue consistency and case quality.
• Ensures that the Case making general worker is made aware of quality standards.
• Leads crew by exhibiting proper leadership and continually trains crew.
• Ensures that each person in the crew is performing his job properly in a safe and efficient manner and is capable of performing the duties of his peers and counterparts.
• Maintains proper records including: Downtime, and Job report.

Qualifications:

• Mechanical aptitude required
• Previous Case Maker experience preferred

Physical Requirements:

• The individual must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
• Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus
• Use fingers to grasp
• Able to stand for up to 12 hours on concrete floors
