The Yacht Mechanic Helper will overhaul, repair and install major equipment and ancillary components, including their alignment in compliance with blueprints and/or contractual requirements. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The qualifications listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability desired.

JOB EXPECTATIONS/DUTIES
  • Works under close supervision or follows detailed procedures / processes.
  • Must express good mechanical ability.
  • Accountable for completion of daily work assignments.
  • Will be required to perform non-craft-related work as needed.
  • Monitors working environment for compliance with quality, safety, environmental, and health regulations.
  • Must know and understand basic hand tool and power tool nomenclature.
  • Must be able to demonstrate proper application of hand tools and power tools, as well as safety precautions/procedures pertaining to same.
QUALIFICATIONS
  • High School graduate.
  • Strongly prefer 1+ yr of industrial or marine maintenance experience. Yacht experience a positive.
  • Clean criminal history (ability to qualify for and obtain a TWIC).
  • Valid driver's license.
  • We strongly prefer at least one year of industrial or marine maintenance experience. Yacht experience is a plus.
