Our client is looking for a Network Security Engineer to join their team in Long Island City, NY. This is an onsite / hybrid position and must be onsite at the client location at least three days a week.

The successful applicant will have:
- BA (or higher) in Computer Science - preferred
- 8+ years supporting enterprise network solutions both local and wide area systems CISCO registered CCNP/CCIE certificate or equivalent experience preferred
- Firewalls configuration and advanced troubleshooting Knowledge of Current networking and security trends Project management Time management
- Network documentation and diagramming Network design
- Reliability Routing, switching, and wireless technologies
- Dynamic routing protocols Converged networks (voice, data), VoIP and Wireless
- Network virtualization technologies TCP/IP protocols
- Firewall configuration and advanced troubleshooting (Palo Alto Preffered) Network cabling technical diagnostic skills
- LAN and WAN Configuration and advanced troubleshooting VPN configuration and advanced troubleshooting
- Version Management and Control Telecommunications Cisco voice
- Scripting, Penetration testing, vulnerability management tools Application transport and infrastructure protocols
- Network topologies - Specialized platforms such as Big IP SIEM such as LogRhythm
