Health Center, Inc. seeks qualified professional. $60 an hour, based on experience.

Provides pharmacy services to patients. Fills prescriptions, dispenses medicines and counsels patients regarding the nature and use of drugs. Prepares and maintains all necessary records on prescriptions, patients and inventory.

Duties and responsibilities:

Prepares and/or oversees the preparation and dispensing of medications to patients.

Counsels patients and/or medical practitioners on drug indications, dosage, drug interactions and side effects; provides other drug and pharmaceutical information as appropriate.

Provides guidance to pharmacy support staff and monitors performance.

Follows established policies and procedures and safety, environmental and/or infection control standards.

Performs other job-related duties as assigned.

Education and experience:

BS in Pharmacy or Pharm D

Preferred 1 – 2 years of work experience in retail pharmacy or ambulatory care pharmacy is a must

New York State licensed pharmacist

Must have immunization privilege in New York State
