The Culture and Change Lifecycle Team is leading this effort by blazing the trail for an end-user centric approach to ensure stakeholder success. We are looking for a passionate, experienced, organizational change leader to help us accelerate time to value and ensure awareness, excitement, readiness, and adoption of our most critical initiatives.
What is a primary need, technical challenge, and or problem you will be responsible for? As the Portfolio Change Strategy Director you will be responsible for architecting one end-to-end change strategy across Colleague, Customer, and Partner ecosystems. You will be responsible for working across the Lead to Cash Portfolio, VMware Unified Data, as well as other transformative initiatives to create a cohesive strategy that is persona-centric.
- Build trusted partnerships within the business through consultative and collaborative efforts to ensure the efficient delivery & adoption of SaaS and Subscription transformation.
- Design and execute change methodologies to accelerate adoption of our SaaS and subscription platform.
- Listen, consult, and advocate directly with our business units, operations teams, customers, partners, and colleagues to drive awareness, readiness and reinforcement of Worldwide Business Operation’s transformational initiatives.
- Establish and manage the controls and governance aspects of a transformation and change management.
- Quarterback the end-to-end execution of the SaaS and Subscription change strategy, including execution of campaigns and enablement.
- Managing the change portfolio, which allows the organization to prepare for and successfully adopt the change.
- Evaluating the risk of change and providing actionable guidelines on reducing the impact.
- Evaluating resistance in adopting the change at the user, process and technology level.
Success in the Role: What are the performance outcomes over the first 6-12 months you will work toward completing?
- Measure your success by % of adoption, by persona, for various capabilities and platforms
- Measure your success by the number of operations teams enabled and an increase in CSAT for quality of learning
- Measure your success as an increase in CSAT for quality of awareness, readiness and reinforcement campaigns
- Connect and build trusted relationships across VMware internal stakeholders that will help the delivery, product team and program deliver outcomes faster and drive adoption.
The Work: What type of work will you be doing? What assignments, requirements, or skills will you be performing on a regular basis?
- Have 10+ years of experience in SaaS and a successful track record of driving adoption and change on transformational programs.
- Has both a strategic and execution mindset.
- Be a change-oriented leader and thrive in an ambiguous, constantly changing environment.
- Strong relationship-building skills and the ability to influence in a matrixed organization.
- Have a proven ability of efficiently ‘making signal out of noise’ and synthesizing information to senior executives.
- Enjoy orchestrating people and wrangling complicated, cross functional challenges.
- Be capable of looking beyond what currently exists, and to connect the current decisions and outcomes to the system producing them (and what might need to change).
