Portfolio Manager at Leading Multi-Family Office
Legacy Bridge Private Family Offices, founded in 2015, is a recognized wealth and investment management private multi-family office based in Des Moines, Iowa. Legacy Bridge is a Registered Investment Advisor serving ultra-high-net-worth individuals and enterprising families, delivering tailored strategies and implementations designed to help them successfully navigate complexity. As a result, our clients are able to focus on what is most important to them.
We have an immediate need for a Portfolio Manager to join our Investment Management team. This position will report to our Chief Investment Officer and work collaboratively across an integrated, multi-disciplined team. Primary areas of responsibility will be to manage a book of business to client’s goals and objectives using our internally developed Economic Outlook and overall Investment Themes. Duties will include meeting with clients, portfolio construction and ongoing management, asset allocation strategy and implementation, security research and selection, as well as trading.
Ultimately, the successful candidate will have an existing book of high-net-worth clients and expand that client base within the Legacy Bridge Family Office framework. The candidate will achieve meaningful and measurable results in pursuit of greater efficiency and effectiveness leading to the consistent delivery of an exceptional client experience.
ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITES
- Manage multiple investment portfolios
- Engage in the building of the Legacy Bridge Private Family Offices brand, its capabilities and services to both clients and prospective clients
- Maintain and reconcile investment-related databases and portfolio reporting systems
- Support portfolio management team in preparing and executing trades
- Monitor and implement client investment strategies involving multiple accounts and allocations
- Produce performance attribution analysis on client accounts and portfolios
- Perform research and analysis to support investment decisions
- Assist in customized client reporting and analysis
- Develop and present written recommendations
CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor’s degree with major in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or related business and finance field
- Industry certifications and designations, such as CFA or CFP, are preferred, but not required
- Series 65 required or able to be obtained within 6 months
- Minimum of 10 years of relevant industry experience
- Currently manages an existing book of business
- Elevated understanding of Equities, Fixed Income and Alternative Investments
- Experience using Morningstar® Direct, Zacks, Tamarac, Money Guide, or related software is a plus
- Proficient in MS Office Suite with intermediate Excel knowledge and capabilities
- Attention to detail
- Must be highly motivated, organized and resourceful—a focused and self-managing “owner” of their role and responsibility
- Strong verbal and written communication skills—ability to distill complex ideas and communicate clearly
- Ability to employ innate high EQ spanning a range of personalities and learning styles both internally among our team and externally with clients, their family members and other advisors
- Respectful and collaborative nature, with the ability to successfully navigate challenges with colleagues and clients
- A sense of humor
- Located within a reasonable commuting distance of our Des Moines, IA office (This position will be in-person)
